How Much to Buy is a free, independent set of calculators for people buying materials for home and yard projects.
Most material calculators give you one number and leave you to work out the rest. This site answers the question you actually have in the store: how many bags, boxes, gallons or yards do I put in the cart, and is bulk worth it?
How the site is funded
The calculators are free to use. The site may show clearly labeled advertising to cover costs. Ads never sit between a form and its result, and they never change a calculation. If the site ever links to a product and earns a commission, that link will be labeled.
Accuracy
Every formula is published on How we calculate. Results are estimates to plan a purchase, not engineering advice.
